Business Development Summer Intern (Part-Time)

Location: Midtown Manhattan, NYC (In-Office 2 Days/Week, WFH – 1 Day)

Duration: June 9 – August 29, 2025

Hours: ~20 hours per week (flexible scheduling across 3 weekdays)

Position Summary:

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Business Development Intern to join our NYC office. This role is perfect for someone interested in sales operations, business development, and marketing. You’ll support the team across a range of initiatives, from CRM data hygiene, business development outreach, to event planning, and play a key part in the behind-the-scenes work that drives business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update CRM records (e.g., HubSpot) to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with business development outreach, including compiling prospect lists and drafting follow-up emails and LinkedIn messages.
  • Support logistics for meetings, client sessions,
    events, or marketing initiatives.
  • Create internal documentation and process guides to support team efficiency and client support.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as organizing digital files, scheduling meetings, and preparing reports.
  • Collaborate with the sales and professional services teams on ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student (Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable with tools like Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with CRM software is a plus.
  • Eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Must be able to work in person at our Midtown NYC office 2 days per week and WFH 1 day per week.

Compensation:

This is a paid internship. The hourly rate will be commensurate with experience.

Location:

While officially headquartered in Des Moines, IA, all our staff are decentralized by design. Our nationwide team has been efficiently growing Pitchly using a collaborative WFH model. You are all set as long as you have a webcam and fast/reliable internet access! We connect using web meetings, Slack, virtual employee meetings, and off-site team retreats.

This role will be working out of the Mid-Town Manhattan location with the Pitchly Sales team.
