We are actively seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Sales Intern to support our entire Commercial team by enhancing processes, analyzing data, and implementing solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness. This hands-on role offers a chance to gain real-world experience in sales operations, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
We prioritize local applicants who can work on-site in our Lincoln, NE office, but we are open to remote candidates with strong skills and readiness to contribute.
CORE FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research and identify potential leads and target prospects
- Contact prospects via email, phone, and social media to initiate conversations and qualify leads through detailed discovery calls and needs assessment
- Provide administrative support to the sales team, including scheduling meetings, managing documentation, preparing reports, creating dashboards, and other ad hoc tasks
- Maintain and update sales databases and CRM systems (e.g., Collectivei and HubSpot)
- Monitor and manage sales pipeline data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Track and report on key metrics to Commercial leadership, including outreach activity, lead conversion rates, and performance to identify trends
- Collaborate with the Commercial Services team to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency, as well as source content for marketing campaigns
- Work with the marketing team to align outreach efforts with campaigns
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current student or recent graduate in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or other data tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with CRM platforms is a plus
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Proactive and resourceful attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication, both verbally and in writing
